Product overview

Fatty Alcohol Ethoxylate (AEO-9) is a high-active C12-14 alcohol ethoxylate with approximately nine ethylene-oxide units. It is evaluated as a nonionic wetting, detergency and emulsification ingredient for industrial degreasers, laundry detergents, textile scouring and process-cleaning formulations. AEO-9 is not an amine oxide and is not normally selected as the primary hydrotrope; buyers should compare feedstock distribution, EO profile, HLB, cloud point, hydroxyl value, water and handling temperature.

Function & Usage

  • Build Detergency & Remove Soil

Supports wetting, detergency, grease removal, foam or soil suspension in suitable cleaning formulations. Typical uses: Laundry and industrial detergency, Textile scouring and wetting, Emulsification and solubilization.
