Product overview
Silicone Defoamer is a formulated additive family used to control macrofoam and microfoam in coatings, cleaning, water treatment, textile and industrial process systems. Selection must balance knockdown, persistence, compatibility, surface defects and the exact process conditions.
Function & Usage
- Build Detergency & Remove Soil
Supports wetting, detergency, grease removal, foam or soil suspension in suitable cleaning formulations. Typical uses: Architectural and industrial waterborne coatings, Detergent and industrial-cleaning foam control, Water-treatment and wastewater processes.
- Formulate Architectural & Decorative Paints
Supports opacity, color, film formation, application rheology or durability in compatible architectural-paint formulations. Typical uses: Architectural and industrial waterborne coatings, Detergent and industrial-cleaning foam control, Water-treatment and wastewater processes.
- Manage Defoaming, Leveling & Surface Quality
Controls foam, trapped air, flow, surface tension, leveling, slip or mechanical surface properties in a compatible coating. Typical uses: Architectural and industrial waterborne coatings, Detergent and industrial-cleaning foam control, Water-treatment and wastewater processes.
