- Primary category:
- Oilfield & Mining
- Subcategory:
- Mineral Flotation Collectors – Hydroxamates
- CAS No.:
- Mixture / supplier-specific
- Form:
- Dark red to brown aqueous liquid
- Content / Grade:
- Mining collector grade; sodium alkyl hydroxamate commonly ≥26%; pH 10-13; free sodium fatty acid controlled by grade
- Applications:
- Wolframite, cassiterite, niobium and rare-earth mineral flotation, Copper oxide, titanium-iron and hematite recovery, Water-dispersible hydroxamate collection in alkaline circuits
- Hazard / Transport:
- Alkaline collector concentrate may cause serious eye irritation or skin effects and can be harmful to aquatic life. Composition, pH and residual fatty-acid salts vary by grade; confirm the exact SDS and transport classification.
- Storage:
- Keep tightly closed in a cool, dry and ventilated place. Protect from freezing, excessive heat, direct sunlight, acids and oxidizers; follow the supplier temperature range because cold storage can cause solidification or phase change.
