Product overview
Sodium Isopropyl Xanthate is a widely used medium-strength sulfide-ore collector positioned between ethyl and longer-chain xanthates in collecting power. Circuit trials should compare recovery, concentrate grade, froth behavior and reagent dosage using fresh material of the intended commercial grade.

Function & Usage
- Select Mineral Flotation Collectors
Provides mineral-surface collection for sulfide, oxide or non-sulfide flotation according to collector chemistry, ore mineralogy, pH and circuit design. Typical uses: Copper, lead and zinc sulfide-ore flotation, Pyrite and precious-metal-bearing sulfide recovery, Balanced collecting power and selectivity in polymetallic circuits.

- Content / Grade:
- Mining grade; xanthate purity commonly ≥85% or ≥90%; free alkali and moisture controlled by grade
- Applications:
- Copper, lead and zinc sulfide-ore flotation, Pyrite and precious-metal-bearing sulfide recovery, Balanced collecting power and selectivity in polymetallic circuits
- Hazard / Transport:
- Flammable or self-heating flotation reagent that may be harmful if swallowed or inhaled and can cause serious eye or skin effects. Contact with acids, heat or moisture can accelerate decomposition and release toxic, highly flammable carbon disulfide. Commercial xanthates are commonly evaluated for UN 3342, Class 4.2 transport; confirm the exact grade-specific SDS, packing group and destination rules before shipment.
- Storage:
- Store in tightly closed, moisture-resistant original packaging in a cool, dry, shaded and well-ventilated dangerous-goods area. Keep away from acids, oxidizers, water, heat, sparks, flames and direct sunlight; control inventory age because xanthates decompose during prolonged or warm storage.
