Product overview
Isobutyltriethoxysilane is a small-molecule alkyl silane used for hydrophobic impregnation of concrete and other absorbent mineral materials. Its low viscosity supports penetration into suitable porous substrates.
Function & Usage
- Promote Adhesion & Silane Coupling
Promotes adhesion or interfacial coupling between selected substrates, fillers, resins or polymer systems. Typical uses: Concrete impregnation, Bridge and façade protection, Masonry water repellency.
- Repel Water & Hydrophobize Surfaces
Reduces water uptake or increases surface hydrophobicity in suitable mineral, masonry, concrete or coating systems. Typical uses: Concrete impregnation, Bridge and façade protection, Masonry water repellency.
- Improve Mortar Workability & Set Control
Supports workability, water management, set profile, adhesion or durability in cementitious and dry-mix systems. Typical uses: Concrete impregnation, Bridge and façade protection, Masonry water repellency.
