Product overview
Polyanionic Cellulose is a high-substitution anionic cellulose derivative used for filtration control and rheology in water-based drilling, drill-in and completion fluids. PAC-LV is selected where low viscosity contribution is preferred, while PAC-HV can add both fluid-loss control and viscosity.

Function & Usage
- Build Drilling-Fluid Rheology
Supports viscosity, suspension or carrying performance in compatible drilling-fluid and oilfield systems. Typical uses: Fluid-loss control in freshwater, seawater and saltwater drilling fluids, Viscosity and suspension support with PAC-HV, Low-solids and reservoir drill-in fluid systems.
- Build Drilling & Completion Fluids
Supports filtration control, rheology, density, shale inhibition or reservoir-compatible brine design in suitable drilling, drill-in, completion and workover fluids. Typical uses: Fluid-loss control in freshwater, seawater and saltwater drilling fluids, Viscosity and suspension support with PAC-HV, Low-solids and reservoir drill-in fluid systems.

- White to cream free-flowing powder
- Content / Grade:
- Oilfield grade; PAC-LV and PAC-HV; API Spec 13A / ISO 13500 or customer-agreed filtration and viscosity specification
- Applications:
- Fluid-loss control in freshwater, seawater and saltwater drilling fluids, Viscosity and suspension support with PAC-HV, Low-solids and reservoir drill-in fluid systems, Shale and borehole-stability programs
- Hazard / Transport:
- PAC is not commonly regulated as dangerous goods, but fine polymer dust may irritate eyes and the respiratory tract and can form combustible dust mixtures. Confirm residuals, microbiological quality and the current oilfield-grade SDS.
- Storage:
- Keep tightly sealed in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. Protect the hygroscopic powder from moisture, heat, contamination, sparks and dust accumulation.
